NEW RELEASE INFORMATION: ‘LOVE FORGIVEN’ released 12/3/2012

A gentle but powerful cd inspired by beautiful places, great poets, down and out’s, new arrivals and feathered friends. Traditional and original material is performed with honesty, passion, great story telling and a high level of craftmanship.

Ruth Angell from Derbyshire and Sid Peacock from Northern Ireland have come together to make this album of songs and tunes. The bright blue shores of County Down meets the high peaks and green fields of Derbyshire in this beautifully stripped down and personal album.

Sid and Ruth have worked together before on various projects over the years but this is their first collaborative work.

This new duo release is an intimate peek in to the relationship between these two strong and independant musicians. Their music is very much a reflection on the struggles of daily life, relationships, happiness and the surprise of nature and circumstance and the beauty found in everything.

‘Love Forgiven’ has been a long time in it’s development of material, some of the pieces are 15 years old others just 1 year old. This is what gives the album a sense of togetherness and an acceptance that only comes with time and experience. Recorded at Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig, Ireland this album captures some of the magic of that special place.
